Suhail Bahwan Group Employees Donate Toys to Royal Hospital

Muscat, Sultanate of Oman - 16 March 2015.

Continuing with its several ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Suhail Bahwan Group Holding Company recently initiated a "Toys Donation" campaign among its group companies, aimed at collecting toys and distributing them to children undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the Sultanate of Oman.

Employees from various companies under the Suhail Bahwan Group spontaneously supported the good cause and generously donated hundreds of new toys. The objective of the campaign was to bring smile and happiness to children undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Oman.

At a simple function held recently at the Oncology Paediatric Ward of Royal Hospital Muscat, Ms Amal Suhail Bahwan, Managing Director and Board Member of Suhail Bahwan Group Holding donated the first batch of boxes containing toys to Dr.Qasem Bin Ahmed Al Salmi, Director General Royal hospital in the presence of Dr. Eileen Tomas, Head of Paediatrics Hematology/Oncology Department.

Ms Amal Bahwan said, "We, at Suhail Bahwan Group, strongly believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are very important as they connect the corporate sector with the community that eventually benefits the society at large. It is a great satisfaction to see the smiles and happiness from children forgetting their pains when they play with these toys. We are pleased to be associated with Royal Hospital and other hospitals in the Sultanate in these and other initiatives."

Dr. Qasem Al Salmi added, "We appreciate the great initiative taken by Suhail Bahwan Group and its employees, who have generously donated toys for a good cause. I am sure this will go a long way in bringing happiness among the children."

Besides Royal hospital the toys will be distributed to other hospitals and primary healthcare centres across Oman. The campaign was organized by Bahwan Healthcare Centre, a flagship company of the Suhail Bahwan Group.
