It all began half a century ago in the coastal Omani town of Sur - the home town of Sheikh Suhail Salim Bahwan.

Hailing from an enterprising family in the coastal town of Sur where his forefathers had travelled across the Arabian ocean doing successful trade for decades, Sheikh Suhail Bahwan moved to the capital city of Muscat in 1965 (along with his brother Sheikh Saud Bahwan) and started a small trading enterprise in Muttrah souq, selling general merchandise.
By the year 1972, under the astute leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Oman opened up to the world, revitalizing its economy and creating new business prospects. Sheikh Suhail seized the new business opportunities while surmounting the challenges that came along with those.
The lessons he learned... the experiences he gained...from the seafaring tradition of his ancestors, coupled with his keen business acumen saw him expand his business, venturing into new territories, securing international agencies and prestigious franchises charting his journey to success A journey that continues to this day...
