Since its inception in the year 1978, Bahwan Building Materials LLC (BBM) has been actively taking part in the nation building under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, becoming one of the largest suppliers of building materials and steel in the Sultanate of Oman and is continuing its successful journey under the new leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haithan Bin Tarik.

Assigning higher priority to the country's infrastructure development the steel division supplies a wide range of steel and allied products to both B2B [Business-to-Business] and B2C [Business-to-Consumer] segments – from multi-billion Riyals worth infrastructure contractors, government projects, large-scale housing projects to individual consumers. The range of products that steel division deals with includes TMT bars, structural steel, angles, channels, H & I beam, MS plates & sheets, GI sheets, plain round bars and guard rails/crash barriers.
The steel division's unique differentiation from its competitors is its value addition through processing of steel and other allied products and offering "ready-to-use" products to its customers, thereby minimizing/eliminating the processing time at project sites.
