PROFILE

SOGEX, originally established as a partnership company in 1971, was acquired by Suhail Bahwan Group in 1984, and was subsequently renamed as SOGEX Oman Co. LLC.

Over the years, SOGEX Oman has grown from a small contracting firm to a full-fledged Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, executing turnkey projects across industry verticals including civil construction, power generation [electrical transmission lines and associated sub-stations of voltage level up and including 132 KV] and water desalination.

SOGEX has contributed significantly to infrastructural development of the Sultanate with its expertise in operation, maintenance and management of sea water desalination plants [RO, MSF and MED], water transmission and sea water intake system, sea water cooling system, sewage treatment plants, diesel engine power plants as well as simple- and combined-cycle steam and gas turbines.
