Bahwan Travels appointed GSA of
Air france, KLM and North West Airlines

Bahwan Travel Agencies, part of the Suhail Bahwan conglomerate, has been appointed the general sales agent (GSA) of Air france, KLM and North West Airlines.This is a significant move and it comes in the wake of global merge of the premier carriers of France and the Netherlands.

The announcement was made at a reception hosted at the Bahwan Travel Agency head office in CBD in the presence of a large number of dignitaries and media personnel.

A cake-cutting ceremony, graced by Sheikh Suhail Bahwan, chairman of Suhail Bahwan Group, Bernard Aubreton, general manager of Air France for Gulf, Iran and Pakistan, was held to mark the occasion.

Those present included undersecretaries in the ministries of finance and Ambassadors of United State of America and France, the counsellor of the Netherlands Embassy, the French Trade Commissioner, Sheikh Suhail Bahwan, Hind Bahwan, and members of other travel trade in Oman.

Shankar Bose, general manager of Bahwan Travel Agencies, speaking on the occasion highlighted the long-standing relationship between Bahwan Travels and Air France and said that the Bahwan Travels has been the GSA for Air France since 1974 when it was operating under the erstwhile name of UTA.
