TV studio contract

The Suhail Bahwan Group-owned Bahwan Contracting Company LLC has bagged a contract worth $33.2 million from the Ministry of Information to build four new television studios for Oman Television.

The agreement was signed by Hamad bin Mohammed Al Rashdi, information minister, on behalf of the Government, and by Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan on behalf of the Suhail Bahwan Group.

“In line with the contract, Bahwan Contracting Company will build four digital TV Studios and one studio for news reading for Oman TV. The new studios will make a qualitative transformation in TV work in Oman.” official sources told Times Business. The contract is to be completed by September 2009. Recently completed projects by Bahwan Contracting company include Sohar Seawater Intake and Return Systems, Grand Mosque, New General Hospital at Ibra, and BMW and Nissan showrooms.
