Bahwan Tourism, one of the flagship companies of Suhail Bahwan Group, participated for the first time at Tourism Expo Japan 2017 held at Tokyo International Exhibition Centre during the last week of September. The Bahwan Tourism stand showcasing various stunning landmarks of Oman created huge enthusiasm among Japanese visitors. Mr. Mohammed Al Riyami from Oman's Ministry of Tourism was also present at the stand, which was an added advantage.
Most visitors to the Bahwan Toursim stand, for whom Oman was a new destination, liked the landscape of Oman mixed with desserts, mountains and wadis and sought more details to visit the country. Some of them, who have heard about Oman, enquired visiting Salalah, Khasab and Zighy Bay.
Mr. Soumava Mukherjee and Mr.Ibrahim Rashid Sulaiman Al Kharusi, who represented Bahwan Tourism at the expo said, "This was our debut participation to publicise the beauty of Oman and create interest among Japanese tourists to visit Oman. For Japanese, who are generally known as frequent travelers and high spenders, this was a good opportunity to explore a new destination like Oman. Most of the Japanese tour operators also evinced keen interest in organising group tours to Oman for whom we have created some special packages. Overall it was a very good opportunity to showcase the timeless beauty of Oman to the Japanese market."
