ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

This client facing position requires someone who excels at multi-tasking adapts quickly to a dynamic environment. The candidate will be the key point of contact for clients, answering RFP’s, providing technical sizing and competitive solution proposal. The primary purpose of the position is to collaborate with account manager to influence and develop sales account strategy including competitive threats, technical threats and alternatives, engage with the customer and the account manager to execute and/or coordinate HPE "awareness", presentations, demonstrations and other sales related activities to ensure breadth & depth of penetration into the account such as technical qualification, presentations, demonstrations and running Proof of concepts on solutions based on HPE Enterprise Technologies. Understand technical needs and pains of the customer as they relate to business initiatives within the account.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of 6 years of experience in handling pre-sales / technical sales for HPE and Cisco, Commvault Technologies.
2. He should maintain strong technical knowledge on HPE storage solutions, HPE Servers, HPe blade servers, Cisco UCS and Hyper flex, Virtualization and Backup Technologies.
3. Have knowledge on HPE MC/service guard implementation.
4. Validate and quantify customer pains/issues and business drivers, confirm HPE’s, Backup and DR technical viability for the opportunity, understand the customer alternatives (vendor competitors, internal alternatives…) being considered including the current means of handling their requirements.
5. Have experience in Sizing solutions for larger projects.
6. Creating DR & backup policies in discussion with the client.
7. Familiarized in using sizing tools like Sales builder, OCA of HPe or any other similar tools.
8. Have thorough knowledge on UNIX, Linux, VMware, NetApp, DDN and Huawei Enterprise solutions will be added advantages.
9. Confident in articulating technical and business value propositions.
10. Shall have excellent interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills.
11. Good reporting skills.
12. Candidates worked earlier in similar job roles/profiles will be preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work closely with sales team to identify/create new opportunities or formulate strategies on key accounts.
2. Take ownership of technical sales for creating solutions for customers.
3. Represent the company at trade exhibitions and events, attend pre and post sales business meetings, assist sales staff and contribute to the business sales by technical pre-sales support.
4. Work independently to make proposals, responses to RFPs, be able to conduct proof of concepts, make presentations to customers and be able to support field engineers for advanced troubleshooting.
5. Ensure Update and completion of SIR’s Assigned.
6. Shall provide technical support to field engineers during escalations.
7. Shall be independent and address customer requirements and interact with vendors.
8. Supporting the customer on 24/7 and reachable to company / customer to show commitment.
9. Extending the support on demands, as most of the IT support change requirement will be done during weekends.
10. Ensuring customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications:

Academic : Bachelor degree in Electrical , Electronics, IT or Computer science.

 

Technical Certification(s):

1. HPE ASE - Server Solutions Architect V3
2. HPe product certified – Converged solutions
3. HPe ATP – Data center solutions
4. HPE ASE - Storage Solutions Architect
5. HP-UNIX/RHEL Certification will be an added advantage.
6. Commvault® Solution Architect Certification – CVSA
7. Commvault® Technical Sales Professional Accreditation – CVTSP

 

Computers & IT Skills:
Technical Exposure

• Storage : HP 3PAR, HP EVA, HP MSA, HP Replication Solutions, HP Storage Works D2D, HP NAS, HP ESL Tape library,HP MSL FC Tape Library, HP Data. Protector, Symantec Backup Exec.
• SAN : HP SAN B-Series Switches, HP Blade SAN switches
• Backup : Commvault, Veeam and other Enterprise Backup Solutions
• Hardware : HP Blade Series Servers, HP Virtual Connects, Flex Fabric, Blade switches, HP Proliant ML, DL Servers.
• Platforms : Windows, Hyper -V Vmware.
• Networking : LAN, WAN, Wireless.

 

Implementation Skills:

Installation of HP Blade servers, configuring them.
Installation of 3 PAR, P 6000, P 2000 storages and SAN Switches like Brocade,
Provisioning new Storages, Fiber Channel Configuration and Fabric & LUN, Management including Zoning, LUN Masking, Storage Management including creation of Disk Groups, LUN Presentation, VDisk using VRAID Type 0, 1 and 5. Replication Solutions.
Onsite & Remote support for HP Storage products like 3 PAR, EVA,HP MSA,ESL & MSL Tape libraries
Should have knowledge on the LTO tape libraries, D2D storages and similar technologies that enhance backup solutions.
Have good knowledge on the Databases, Mail services, DR automation & cloud services
Installation, configuration & monitoring of HP Data Protector and Symantec Backup Exec.

Required Language Skills:

Should have effective Oral and written communication skills in English.

Geographical Experience:

Candidate with Gulf experience will have an advantage.

Industry Experience:

Should have worked in any of the IT service provider giving onsite support.
Direct interaction with the client.
Have hands on implementation experience of Server and storage.
Have design experience of at least 3 to 4 yrs for providing IT infrastructure solutions.
